Yetis Gain First Win in New Athletic Park
The Cleveland Community College Yetis took their first home win in Yetis Athletic Park on Tuesday versus the Caldwell Community College Cobras.
While the baseball team had home wins during last year's inaugural season, it was while playing at McNair Field in Forest City.
The Yetis had big output from numerous hitters during the 17-8 win over the Cobras. Mike Huber homered and doubled, Tyler Casciato homered and drove in four runs, and Kyras Dawson collected four hits and drove in 3 runs.
Starter Clayton Lanser would go four innings, giving up only 2 runs. Among the Yeti relief pitchers, Kyle Flynn and Cole Curtis gave up no runs in their appearances.
The Yetis next face Southwest Virginia Community College in a home weekend series that will begin on Friday with a single 9 inning game. The 3 game series will conclude on Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at noon.
