Yetis Sweep Wake Tech
The Cleveland Community College baseball team swept Wake Tech in their home weekend series. The Yetis won by scores of 16-7, 11-3, and 10-7.
In game one on Friday, Denis Drinkwalter would pitch 2.2 scoreless innings in relief to gain the win. Alex Khan had four hits on the day and Tyler Casciato would homer and drive in three runs. In game two on Saturday, starter Connor Sampers pitched 6 innings while striking out 11. Josh Morgan and Micajah Wall both homered with Casciato stealing four bases. In game three, starter Jamisen Eichacker went 4 innings and struck out 5 as the winning pitcher. Jeb Shuler would pitch two scoreless innings in relief. Casciato and Morgan both homered, their second each in the series.
"We had some guys that stepped up and were difference makers this weekend," said Head Coach John Grigg. "This was a strong week for Yeti baseball."
The Yetis finish their regular season this week and play the Limestone JV team on Tuesday. On Friday and Saturday, they host Catawba Valley CC in their final Region 10 series of the year.
