Yetis Take Series from P&H
The Cleveland Community College Baseball team won their weekend series at home versus Patrick & Henry CC.
The Yetis won game one on Saturday 12-4. The Patriots would win game one of Sunday's doubleheader 4-3 and CCC won the series final game 4-2.
In game one, Kyle Murphy would pitch all seven innings in a game decided by run rule in the seventh inning. Luke Banister had four hits in the game and Kael Snethen and Banister would each drive in three runs. In game 2 of the series, Connor Sampers would go six innings and strike out eight batters and Alex Adams had three hits. Jamisen Eichacker would be the starter for game 3 and pitch five innings while striking out eight Patriots. Shane Lanier closed out the final inning for the save. Aiden Schenck and Ben Hodge had two RBI's for the offense.
"Patrick & Henry has been at the top of our division standings ever since our baseball program started," said Head Coach John Grigg. "Beating them in a Region series is a big accomplishment for our program, but it's also what we expect."
The Yetis host Roane State (TN) for a mid-week match up on Wednesday and host Guilford Tech for a Region 10 series on Friday and Saturday.
