Yetis Top Southwest
The CCC Baseball team won both ends of Saturday's home doubleheader versus Southwest Virginia CC.
The two wins gave the Yetis a Region 10 Series win against the visiting Eagles. Cleveland won game one by run rule in seven innings 10-2 and game 2 by a final of 8-3.
In game one, Jamisen Eichacker would pitch 5.1 innings and strike out seven batters to gain the win. Jeb Shuler would close out the final 1.2 innings in relief. Alex Adams would homer and drive in two runs. Aiden Schenck had three hits, including a triple and drove in four runs. In game two, Kyle Murphy would go 4.1 innings and strike out five Eagles as the winning pitcher. Adams tripled and drove in three for the offense.
Game three of the series, scheduled for Sunday, was rained out. The Yetis next play on Wednesday as they host Florence-Darlington beginning at 2 pm.
