On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, Cleveland Community College traveled to Catawba Valley Community College. The Yetis defeated the Red Hawks in a high-scoring game, 14-7.
Cleveland started strong, scoring five runs in the first inning and adding four more in the second. They continued to add to their lead throughout the game, with standout performances from players like Joel Gardner, who had a home run and five RBIs, and Ben Hodge, who scored three runs. On the other side, Catawba Valley Community tried to rally back but fell short despite a solid performance from J. Gorman, who had three hits and an RBI.
Cleveland's George Tripplet pitched well, earning the win, while Z. Martin of Catawba Valley Community took the loss.
