Baseball finishes regular season play with a win over Wake Tech

The CCC Yetis defeated Wake Tech CC with a final score of 4-0 in a baseball game on May 3, 2024. The Yetis got off to a strong start, scoring three runs in the first inning with a single from Josh Morgan that brought in Ben Hodge and a two-run homer from Kaden Swaim. They added another run in the fourth inning when Morgan drove in Logan Norris with another single.
Pitcher Ian Hawk was a standout performer for the Yetis, pitching 8.1 innings and allowing only four hits while striking out five batters. He did not allow any runs, earning him the win with a final record of 1-0.
On the other side, Wake Tech CC struggled to get their offense going, only managing four hits in the entire game. Pitcher Smith took the loss for Wake Tech CC, giving up four runs on seven hits in six innings of work.
Overall, the CCC Yetis' strong pitching and timely hitting proved to be the difference in this game, as they shut out Wake Tech CC to secure the victory.
