The Cleveland Community College Yetis opened the week with a hard-fought 10–8 road victory over Caldwell on March 4.
Cleveland wasted no time jumping on the scoreboard, plating one run in the first inning when Tyler Rosario drove in Tanner Britt with an RBI single. The Yetis continued to build momentum in the second as Riley Stiles delivered an RBI single before two additional runs scored on wild pitches to extend the lead.
Cleveland added three more runs in the third inning. Bryson Dempsey's bunt forced an error that allowed two runs to score, and David Conner followed with a sacrifice fly to push the advantage to seven.
Caldwell chipped away throughout the middle innings and rallied for four runs in the eighth to pull within striking distance. The Yetis responded in the ninth inning with three key runs. Cruise Arnold delivered an RBI single and Evan Estes followed with another run-scoring hit before a passed ball brought in the final insurance run.
Alex McKee led Cleveland at the plate with three hits, while Arnold and Stiles each added two. Aaron Main earned the win in relief, and Drew Hayes closed out the game with a save, striking out three in the final inning.

Cleveland CC 3, Southwest Virginia 1
The Yetis opened their March 7 home doubleheader with a strong pitching performance to secure a 3–1 victory over Southwest Virginia.
Cleveland struck early in the first inning when Tyler Rosario launched a solo home run and Timothy Negron added an RBI single to give the Yetis a 2–0 lead.
The pitching staff handled the rest. Charlie Collins started the game, allowing two hits across two scoreless innings. Aaron Main followed with three shutout innings before Gabe Tatum took over in the sixth and closed the game, striking out five while allowing just one run.
Tanner Britt led the offense with two hits, while Walker Hartley reached base twice as Cleveland collected six hits in the win.
Cleveland CC 12, Southwest Virginia 2 (5 innings)
The Yetis completed the doubleheader sweep in dominant fashion, defeating Southwest Virginia 12–2 in a run-rule shortened contest.
Cleveland erupted for six runs in the first inning. Tyler Rosario drove in a run with a single, Evan Estes drew a bases-loaded walk, and Connor Lindsey delivered the biggest swing of the inning with a three-RBI double. Bryson Dempsey added a sacrifice fly and Riley Stiles followed with an RBI single to cap the frame.
The Yetis struck again in the third with another six-run outburst. Reese Guertin drove in two runs with a single, Lindsey added another RBI after being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, and Cleveland capitalized on additional miscues to extend the lead.
Guertin finished with two RBIs, Lindsey drove in three runs, and Stiles and Dempsey each added an RBI.
On the mound, Drew Yelton started with two scoreless innings before Carter Sterchi picked up the win in relief. Ryan O'Rourke and Kohen Orr helped close out the run-rule victory.
Cleveland CC 11, Southwest Virginia 0 (6 innings)
The Yetis capped the weekend series on March 8 with an 11–0 shutout victory over Southwest Virginia.
Cleveland jumped ahead early with two runs in the first inning and continued to add to the lead throughout the game. The Yetis scored in five of the six innings played and finished with 11 runs on 11 hits.
Cruise Arnold led the offensive surge with three RBIs, while Tyler Rosario collected two hits and scored twice. Alex McKee went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI, and Connor Lindsey and Josh Negron each drove in two runs.
The pitching staff combined for the shutout effort. Caleb Cloninger started and tossed two scoreless innings, while Drew Hayes, Parker Ramsey, and Bryson Moseman followed in relief to hold Southwest Virginia to five hits and no runs.
Cleveland's balanced offense and strong pitching carried the Yetis through a successful week as they continued their push through conference play.
