Men's basketball continues winning streak

The men's basketball team secured a win in both games last week, putting them on a 5-game winning streak. 

In a recent matchup between Converse University JV and Cleveland Community College, Cleveland emerged victorious with a final score of 102-81. The game was closely contested in the first half, with Converse JV holding a narrow lead of 43-42. However, Cleveland came out strong in the second half, outscoring Converse JV 60-38 to secure the win.

Cleveland had a balanced scoring attack, with multiple players contributing to the team's success. Chyron Davis led the way with 18 points, followed by Jaydin Spillman with 16 points. Kevin Kollock, Elijah Burnett, and Jakobe Dykes also made significant contributions to the team's scoring effort.

Converse JV struggled to contain Cleveland's offense and failed to match their scoring output. Despite a solid performance from Erique Myers, who scored 10 points off the bench, Converse JV was unable to keep up with Cleveland's offensive firepower. 

In a matchup between Guilford Technical Community College and Cleveland Community College on February 17, 2024, Cleveland emerged victorious with a final score of 97-78. The game saw Cleveland dominate from the start, outscoring Guilford Technical 60-39 in the first half. Key players for Yetis included Jashaun Hawkins, who scored 19 points, and Chyron Davis, who contributed 16 points. Kevin Kollock also had a strong performance with 13 points. 

Cleveland had a higher field goal percentage at 47.4% compared to Guilford Technical and a better three-point shooting percentage at 48.0%. Overall, Cleveland's strong offensive performance and efficient shooting led them to a decisive victory over Guilford Technical Community College.
