Yetis Compete at National Championship
Noah Lesser and Jonas Guffey traveled to Fort Dodge, Iowa for the NJCAA Cross Country National Championships held on November 14. The meet was composed of runners and teams from Division I, II, and III programs and hosted by Iowa Central Community College. The Cleveland Community College runners competed as individuals in the Division II race. Lesser bested his own school record with a time of 29:02.3 over the 8K course. This topped his previous school record of 29:02.6 by three tenths of a second. Lesser achieved the Yetis school record at a meet earlier this season in Columbia, SC. Guffey finished with a time of 30:16 which was a personal best over an 8K course. Both Lesser and Guffey were named to the Region 10 All Region team and Lesser was the Region 10 DII Runner of the Year. The second year program under Coach Steve McCachren will begin off-season conditioning as they prepare for the 2021 season.
