Softball Sophomore Day
Yetis Softball held Sophomore Day to recognize players who have been a part of the program and will be moving on following the season. Players were escorted onto the field and accompanied by family members between games of their doubleheader on Saturday at Crest High School.
The 2022 Sophomore class consists of Savannah Carroll, Trinity Hatchel, Mallory Haynes, and Elizabeth Hartsell. Public Address announcer Richie Scruggs read a statement from each player noting the favorite part of their experience as a part of the program and their future plans. In addition, Coach Alley Ogle was also recognized for her two years with the program, first as a player and now as a coach.
"These players have played a big part in building our program here at CCC," said Head Coach Ronald Beaver. "They've been great to work with and I wish them success in their chosen paths in the future."
Of note, Hartsell is in her third year with the Yetis softball program. She was a member of the original Yeti softball team in 2020 that played only a few weeks into the season before being shut down due to Covid-19.
