Softball Tops Southwest
The Yetis Softball team took both games of their Region 10 opener versus Southwest Virginia CC by scores of 14-13 and 9-5 on Sunday at Crest High School.

In Game 1, the Yetis had 4 homeruns from Sydney Hamilton, Trinity Hatchel and Mallory Haynes (2). The offense also had doubles from Haynes, Sierra Crocker, and Heather Griffis (2). Brooke Dover pitched the complete game for the win. In Game 2, Haynes, Griffis, and Brianna Frye would hit doubles to lead the offense. Crocker would pitch 6 innings to collect the win.
"Our bats came alive to get us two wins," said Head Coach Ronald Beaver. "We had to adjust to some offspeed pitching and our hitters were able get key hits when we needed them.'
The Yetis are back in action this coming weekend at Crest versus Camp CC on Saturday and Bryant and Stratton on Sunday.
