Softball Tops Gaston College
The Yetis Softball team swept a doubleheader from Gaston College on Saturday at Martha Rivers Park in Gastonia. Both wins were by run rule in 5 innings with the Yetis winning game one by a score of 15-4 and game two 21-6.

In Game one, Trinity Hatchel led the offense with three hits, including a home run, and tallied seven RBI's. Brooke Dover pitched a complete game, striking out five Rhino batters. In Game two, the Yetis had homers from Sierra Crocker, Heather Griffis and Hatchel. Hatchel had 8 RBI's and totaled 15 on the day. Crocker was the winning pitcher, going five complete innings and striking out seven batters.
The Yetis are back in action Wednesday as they travel to Belmont Abbey to face the JV Crusaders in a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 1 pm. They will host a Region 10 Conference doubleheader on Sunday at Crest HS against Southwest Virginia CC.
