Yetis Named All-Region
Two members of the Cleveland Community College Softball team were named to the Region 10 DII All-Region Team.
Mallory Haynes was named to the 1st Team as an Outfielder and Brooke Dover was named to the 2nd Team as a Pitcher.
Haynes, a sophomore from Shelby High School, batted .367 with 12 doubles, 5 home runs and 28 runs driven in. Dover, a sophomore from Chase High School, would post a 3.76 Earned Run Average, pitch 173 innings on the season and strike out 164 batters.
"Mallory and Brooke had outstanding seasons for us at the plate and in the circle," said Head Coach Ronald Beaver. "Their efforts this year are a big part of why we made the post-season and advanced in the first round."
The Yetis won their opening round series versus Pitt CC last week and advanced to the second round of double elimination play hosted by Louisburg College. CCC plays Louisburg on Friday at noon.
