The Cleveland Community College Yetis battled through a competitive stretch of games, earning a midweek sweep over Pitt Community College before hosting Louisburg College in a Saturday doubleheader that included a special sophomore recognition ceremony.
Between games on March 21, the Yetis honored five sophomore student-athletes for their contributions to the program: Sara Rose Warlick, Peyton Whitson, Charlsey Oglesby, Allison Setzer, and Elizabeth Smith.
Game 1: CCC 8, Pitt CC 7
The Yetis opened the series with a gritty comeback victory, using a big third inning to shift momentum.
Zaley Packett delivered the biggest swing of the game, launching a three-run home run as part of a four-run inning. She finished with a game-high five RBIs, powering the Yetis offense.

On Sophomore Day, the Yetis faced a tough Louisburg squad that capitalized on late innings to pull away.
Cleveland stayed within striking distance early before a big seventh inning by Louisburg extended the lead.
Zaley Packett and Sara Rose Warlick each recorded extra-base hits, while Elizabeth Smith drove in a run. Charlsey Oglesby reached base multiple times, helping spark the Yetis' three-run sixth inning.
Game 2: Louisburg 2, CCC 0
The second game turned into a pitcher's duel, with Brookelynn Farmer delivering a strong outing in the circle.
Farmer allowed just two runs over seven innings, keeping the Yetis within reach throughout.
