Women's basketball defeats Louisburg

Cleveland Community College narrowly defeated Louisburg College in a thrilling basketball game on January 8, 2024. The final score was 80-79, with the Yetis pulling out the win. 

In the first quarter, both teams started strong, scoring 21 points each. The second quarter followed a similar pattern, with both teams adding another 20 points to their tally. However, Cleveland Community College struggled in the third quarter, only managing to score 13 points, while Louisburg College scored 23 points. This gave Louisburg College a slight advantage heading into the final quarter.

The fourth quarter saw a remarkable comeback from the Yetis. They scored 26 points, while Louisburg College could only manage 15 points. This surge in scoring allowed Cleveland Community College to secure the victory by a single point.

Several players stood out for Cleveland Community College. Emonie Hicks had an impressive performance, scoring 22 points and contributing 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Jasmine Twitty also had a strong game, scoring 20 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and providing 4 assists. Grace East and Ravin Brooks also made significant contributions to the team's victory.
